Banff is the epicentre of fine dining in the Rockies and is supported by an excellent collection of fine restaurants in Canmore, Lake Louise and Jasper. The BC Rockies offer a more family oriented selection of restaurants that are generally more affordable yet lack the extremely high level of quality found on the Alberta side. While prices certainly don't reach the stratosphere of major resorts in Europe and the US, dining in the Rockies can be expensive. If you haven't budgeted much for meals, don't fret though. Each town in the Canadian Rockies has a wide range of economical restaurants or you can always rent a fully furnished condo and eat in to save a few bucks.
