Course Overview
Fairmont's Mountainside Course has long been one of the most popular golf destinations in the BC Rockies. An outstanding shot makers' course, Mountainside rewards a golfers' ability to carve shots, requiring a fade or subtle draw to play certain holes as they were ultimately designed. This 18-hole par 72 CPGA-rated course will enjoyably test your golfing skills. Open mid-March to late October, the golf season at Fairmont is one of the longest in Western Canada.
Mountainside features some stunning holes, perhaps none better than the par 3 twelfth. The setting is serene; a crystal blue pond in the foreground, large green shadows from tall firs and cathedral peaks is the distant target. Aim well! Another recognizable hole is the “Fairmonster” - that incredible 600+ yard 4th hole that is the talk of the Pacific Northwest.
Long time Head Professional Lorne Rowe, puts it this way: "Mountainside is a classic championship course that requires a thoughtful, steady approach. It is an enjoyable course for players of all abilities."
With excellent off-course facilities, the Resort provides an ideal family or corporate getaway. After your round, take a dip in the world famous odourless hot springs pools, enjoy a therapeutic treatment at the spa, hike scenic interpretive trails or relax in the 4.5 star accommodation.
